"A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man, " has always been my favorite line in the Godfather trilogy. It encapsulates everything you need to know about Vito Corleone.

I love how Vito only said the quote after Sonny walked in. Like the sight of him and knowledge of his unfaithfulness to his wife compelled him to give Johnny the life lesson about family.

Every single solitary male in this world should hear this quote, because it’s true.

I love this quote.

Vito Corleone is more of a man than any macho man who ever existed.

This quote proves it.

"You spend time with your family" "sure I do" "good" "CAUSE A MAN WHO DOESN'T SPEND TIME WITH HIS FAMILY CAN NEVER BE A REAL MAN"

I love how he looks at Sonny when he says that because he was not talking to Johnny but to Sonny. Sonny was late getting to the meeting because he was screwing his mistress and that was a way the Don was telling him how he does not approve of his life choices.

That's the true masculine wisdom every solitary man needs to hear. Every father needs to teach his son this power we have. Be a man. And take care of yourself and your family.

This may actually be my favorite movie. It doesn't have the excitement that I usually prefer in a film, but it's so incredibly classic. Every scene is incredible.

This proved Dominic Toretto is real man

It took me a few viewings before I realized that Vito took a subtle shot at his son in this scene. Gives him a quick look while saying but a man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man, knowing that Sonny runs around on his wife. All the little nuances in this movie are masterful.

1:46 there's a mistake here that people often omit. The guy is showing up his left cheek so Vito can kiss him, the way he's done it with his right cheek, but Vito doesn't do it. Brando still found a way to make it not look awkward though.

This is what young men need to have 'ingrained" into their minds by the time they are adults:

1) A man who has kids, but doesn't spend time with his family shows he cares more himself than his family (Selfishness)
2) A man who doesn't spend time with his family also means he's less willing to do what it takes to keep the family together (more family breakups)
3) A man who doesn't spend time with his family no doubt puts a strain to his marriage and relationship with his wife (less successful marriages)
4) A man who doesn't spend time with his family is less aware, less prepared, and less eager for the trials of parenthood (bad relationships with kids)
5) A man who doesn't spend time with his family is then more likely to breakaway from his own family (distances himself from his

What are examples of how a man proves that he spends time with his family, well here are few examples:

1) Go to your kids' extra-curricular events whenever you have the chance
2) Watch & attend tutorials so that you can be a good 2nd teacher for your kids in their fields of interest
3) Go the "extra" mile for you friends, family, or clients by giving up some of your free time when it's clear they could use your help on something
4) Help arrange family events beyond the big/key holidays (Christmas/Thanksgiving) and do things like Birthdays, Anniversaries, Father/Mothers Day, etc.
5) Be able to get on the phone with your kids when they call you or just once in a while randomly get in touch with them

I learned this from my father and even though he's no longer with me, he taught & showed me these things to me, and I see why spending time with his family made him the man I will forever respect and hold to as my own standard as a man!
