Living A Simple Life | Original Buddhist Documentary

With so much chaos in the world, is it possible to have peace?

According to Buddhist monks, the answer is yes. This video documents a day in the life of a Theravada Buddhist monk in Thailand. It follows him as he goes on alms round through the local village, doing his chores, practice mindfulness and meditation, and so much more.

My intention for this video is to give you a small glimpse into our world and hopefully it inspires you to diligently train your mind and build your habits. For world peace to be achieved, it must first start with inner peace. Developing inner peace takes effort, time, patience, and endurance, but it's a journey worth going on. I hope you enjoy!

No hustle and bustle. No commerce. No violence. Inner peace, solitude and quiet. This is a life of luxury... minus the cozy bed.

When we do everything mindfully, everything is a meditation.

I wish life in society was as simple as being a monk.

I have encountered a great deal of peace by choosing not partake in the chaos of life around me. There is merit in being silence. I am not a monk.
Thank you for this lesson.

This is the most powerful video you've created yet Nick. I believe in my heart that peace is possible, but I think that every person needs to find peace within themselves first. Your videos nick, the content you create, is such an amazing tool to help people find their own inner peace. What you do is so important! Thank You! 🙏🙂

His face and demeanour are of such a deep and austere beauty. Good to see, that he follows this path of spirituality and hasn't to compromise with a profit- oriented materialistic world of competition and vanity.

Lets pray and help to alleviate the sufferings for the destitute and those in war torn countries. Without food and running water and worry about their security. it’s truly heartbreaking. Wish we all can spare a thought for them.

I couldn't help but cry. The discipline and dedication these monks have made for self mastery is profound. As a collective they naturally amplify their clarity and become a LITERAL beacon of light and hope in a world getting darker by the day.
Lately I have found myself getting distracted and pulled by the events occurring in the outside world. You have inspired me to put more effort in continuing the practice of present moment awareness keeping in mind how important it is to remain detached by simply being the 'observer'. I will spend more time in that quiet stillness within. Thank you for all you do....❤

It is so humbling to see people freely giving of their foods to feed the monks and then bowing to them in reverence. I see modern western society and think where did we go wrong?

A simple Life takes many forms. Everybody needs to decide what their Way is...and what will take them further down their Path. No two roads are the same...No two paths are the same either. One must embrace their Journey. And Ultimately...it will take them where they need to be. Lord Buddha has blessed us all. Bless Lord Buddha.
