A new poll out of the critical state of Iowa projects Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is now leading former President Donald Trump with a shift of almost 50 points in the polls compared to last year. Dan Abrams says if DeSantis wasn`t sure about running for president before, he is probably considering it now. Brad Todd, partner of On Message Strategies, discusses the poll with Abrams.

The truth is that my governor, Governor DeSantis, still needs a little aging before becoming president and I have been informed that since both he and Trump reside in the same state, he can't be Trump's VP. This means that, he'll have to be Sec. of State or something like that, if allowed and then he will be ready come 2028, ahead of the Apophis close flyby that will more than likely have us being in a state of national emergency and martial law for some length of time before the all-clear and then too, there is the slight chance for impact and that's really when we would need a DeSantis and a Pompeo.
