if only they made this before Matt Damon got stuck there. Good rescue would've been a piece of cake.

Hold onto that ship a sec. Let me just get my astrophysics degree at Stanford and I'll be on my way. Just promise I won't have to eat potatoes for a year...

*Gasps*
Next stage: Impulse Engine (either Trek or Wars, note Wars's common propulsion engine is the Ion Drive/Engine)
I suspect it'll take 30-100 years for the Impulse Engine though, but if Russia's Nuclear Engine passes testing phase and becomes world wide(space) fairing use.

Ain't this how Star Trek began? Except no Vulcan have shown up to cultivate our interstellar endeavors. Really hope this works, ot could be a game changer.

alot of people don't really seem to get excited for anything "space" anymore, I think it's because people want space travel to be like the one they see on movies and video games, such a high expectation if that's the case.

In the Star Trek Universe, the first ship that really got humanity into the stars was a nuclear powered one. They invented the warp engines in 2063 when they made the first warp flight and first contact with an alien specie, the Vulcans. By my calculations, we are on schedule !

why not point to a part of space and bend the fabric of space behind the craft thus letting go using it like an elastic band for light speeds? thats what i use any ways
