I just saw Garbage last weekend. Right before they did this, Shirley was talking about how awesome it was that they were one of the bands fortunate enough to get to do a Bond theme. She sounded amazing and it was so cool hearing it live.

Man its crazy how many years it took me to realize that this song is sung from the view point of the villain. Love the theme and movie. So underrated of the Brosnan Bond movies.

I love the symbolism of oil rigs and crude oils representing total power and impassionate greed of the intro. It really tells you so much about the tone of the story when Elektra King was introduced in the story, full of mysterious and suspicious vibe surrounding her character. Plus this song is sung in the perspective of the main "villain" of the movie.

This title sequence was always eerie and foreboding. Even though this was made in the late 90s, it really did resonate more after the war on terror and the thirst for oil became a public outcry.

One of the best Bond films. Very underrated!

This is one of my favorite Bond themes. Shirley Mansons's dark, lower octave voice made for a very cool song. I was also a huge Garbage fan in the 90s and loved hearing that they'd get their crack at a Bond theme.
