Actually he was right to go off on the individual who was checking the lights while he was busy trying to give the best performance he could for his role. But, most folks don't understand the level of concentration needed for the best actors in the world to achieve their craft. Due to that, I'm sure his agent urged him to apologize, even though he did nothing wrong.
