Christian Bale was too big for Batman

Christian Bale had to gain an extraordinary amount of size to play Batman in Batman Begins (2005), but he ended up gaining far too much weight, and the crew asked him if he was playing Fatman or Batman...

Prior to filming Batman Begins, Christian had filmed a movie called The Machinist where he dropped an astonishing amount of weight, going all the way down to 110 lbs and was quite literally just skin and bone.

Christopher Nolan was understandably concerned and so told Christian to get as big as he possibly could. While he did a great job in putting on the size, the reaction from the crew was that he resembled more of a bear than the caped crusader, resulting in him trying to lose as much body fat as possible while trying to maintain his muscle mass.
