Watch Ameca the humanoid robot in its FIRST public demo

Last year, a video of Ameca the robot's facial expressions had the world fascinated (and terrified). But the creators of this humanoid say Ameca is the face of the future.

What I find scariest is not a robot with emotions, but a robot that can mimic emotions while not having any.

The fact that it blinks and flinches at around 5:05 when he moves his hand in front of it was incredibly impressive.

Love how they programmed it to blink, even though it doesn’t need to becuase if it didn’t it would seem psychotic to humans interacting with it. Also her smile is like chandlers when he’s told to smile for pictures.

From all the most developed and most well known humanoid robots out there at the moment I have to say I love Ameca's face the most. Not just because of her realistic expressions, but purely her features as well. Most of the other robots try to imitate pretty girls leading to rather lifeless looking faces. Ameca, on the other hand, has a witty expression. It makes so much sense that she was created by Brits. Well done! I like this robot very much. Also its creator (the guy in this video) is very cute.

Ameca probably has the most realistic Facial Expressions I’ve ever seen on a humanoid and remind me alot of what Detroit become human robots would look like when they were prototypes
