I love the truth in this. I love it.

Its literally just like an artist saying, "Thats not my medium"

I hate people who see you dont excel or have the same work routine in certain roles in your industry and say, "they shouldnt be doing the job in general" . Im a therapist and I work with severely disabled mental and behavioral patients, and you have to have long breaks in that field to not lose your mind.

One thing in the field that maddens me is talking to adult/ senior clients in a baby voice. So many women do it especially women with children. Ive been "talked to" several times for talking my clients like adults instead of babies and then told "maybe this isnt for me", right after they attempt to throw you through glass or beat you due to their playdoh being out of order in color and still maintaining professionalism.

I'd also say that there are different phases of a career... there was a time when I loved Telemetry and then I wanted more in depth understanding... and then I went to and loved the ICU but eventually I wanted to be a part of the process of keeping people from developing chronic illnesses so I went outpatient for lifestyle med... my career has had many different renditions. Hospital nursing is only one part of healthcare- it's not everything.
