In the first year of the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has struggled to capitalize on its best-in-class power with a packed lineup of exclusives, but among the games it has delivered are some real winners, including Microsoft Flight Simulator and Forza Horizon 5. The internal SSD's space has felt increasingly cramped, making the storage upgrades seem more essential than would be ideal. Still, Microsoft's commitment to accessibility, backwards compatibility, and services like Game Pass and Cloud Gaming has paid off-and we're only beginning to see a future where an Xbox is more than a box. Until then, the Series X is certainly a great box to have.

Quick resume has been incredible, the issues mentioned definitely seem like an issue with the individual game/developer than the Series X itself

What kind of amateur review is this? You can have 5 games in quick resume, not 3. And often used apps can be pinned in a folder at the sidemenu. You didn't even figure that out after a whole year?

Tip: put Spotify in a custom group and move it to the top, you will only need two clicks to launch Spotify. Instead of the nonsense they said in this video.

This review does not represent my experience, when compared to the competition how can an 8/10 be justified? As a gamer of many years and systems the xbox just keeps on giving. Easily my most impressive system in 25yrs.

Bought one at launch. Was a 360 guy but switched to PS until this gen. Series X is the most fun I've had with a console since n64. Quick resume, game pass, the few optimised or original games so far all great.

Arguably one of the biggest benefits of Series X/S has been Smart Delivery. Many tossed it aside as a marketing gimmick, but it has been anything but!

You can put apps in custom folders to make them much faster to access. Quick Resume can hold much more than three titles at a time. Finally, no mention of SmartDelivery? That feature has been a massive boon for the Series consoles over the last year and is a clear advantage over the PS5, which has been nothing less than infuriating in its handling of cross-gen titles.

at 2:51, it isn’t that hard to start up spotify while gaming.. you can go down to the volume tab at the bottom right of this exact frame and select the music toggle, which will automatically play pandora or spotify depending on which one you have installed / use more frequently..

Easily the better console and next gen choice at the moment. Flight Simulator Console Version, 12 Minutes, Psychonauts 2, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite in less than a month. Not to mention quick resume being a game changer and Game Pass being the best thing to happen to gaming
