One of the coolest things about being born in the 80s is seeing the graphics jumps. Going from Nintendo to Super Nintendo was mind blowing. Then jumping to the Nintendo 64 and the PlayStation. I think the last time I was totally blown away by a next gen console was playing the PlayStation 2 for the first time. Playing SSX was unreal. That was the last time a next gen console blew me away. Yeah new consoles look better but there will never be that shock and awe moment again when seeing a massive leap like going from 2d to 3D or ps1 to ps2 again

I disagree with Austin, I believe that with both the SX and PS5 we will see a significant jump from the previous generation (even from the Pro and XB1 X), probably more so than many of the transitions in the past. When games start arriving that are built from the ground up for the new systems, not having to cater for the PS4 and Xbox One, we'll begin to see what they're truly capable of. .

A lot of people hung up on this not being a drastic generational jump, but I feel like we've just hit diminishing returns with modern games. Yeah, graphics can get nicer but it's not going be to be leaps and bounds like comparing an SNES to N64 for example. Honestly, the most impressive thing of this generation is that we're now making 60fps a standard.
