The objectives included Destroying weapons depots, command forces, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Approximately 85 targets were destroyed, utilizing a total of 125 munitions.

Weird how we have bases in both Syria- Who I don't believe Congress passed an act of war against, unless I'm missing something? And Iraq- a Country that politely asked us to remove our military bases from their countries.

As a Sri Lankan who had experience of around 30 years of civil war, there was a time our forces used this same "Useless strategy. When LTTE terrorists managed to launch a Successful attack against either Sri Lankan armed forces or against Strategic economic hubs of Sri Lanka that caused permanent damage to Sri Lankan economy, all we did was launching Air Strike against LTTE bases, Ammunition stores or their weapon factories. But non of those Strikes could bring any benefit on the battle field for Sri Lankan Armed forces or cause any significant harm against Terrorists. Sometimes those Air strikes brought benefits for Terrorists because because of civilian casualties caused by those air strikes made civilians more furious agaist Sri Lankan armed forces. The same thing happened in Iraq & Syria. Locals got more furious against American occupiers it will bring more support from locals for those resistant groups

The distance between America and Iraq, Iran and Syria is more than 1000 kilometers
The nations of the region are very angry about the presence of American soldiers in their country
If there are still American military bases in Middle East countries, more coffins of American soldiers will return to their countries every day.
No Middle Eastern country has a military base near the US border... so there is no reason for the US to have a military base in the Middle East as an aggressor.

Never made sense to me. They can protect 2500 sailors on a battle ship from incoming missiles with missiles and that little fat gadget with a chain gun on it, but the military cannot protect 250 soldiers on land from a $300 drone?
