I also hope to give you ideas and inspiration when it comes to everyday carry gear, travel gear and gadgets, which make life a little bit easier and perhaps more fun.

I welcome any feedback on my videos or the channel in general. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Product Sourcing:

When it comes to sourcing a product for review, I will usually either  purchase and item personally or reach out to a supplier requesting a sample for review.  Most suppliers, after seeing the channel, are supportive if they are confident in their product, appreciating the value of greater exposure.

I am sometimes asked to review a product by a supplier which I will only agree to if the product fits the channel and I believe will be of interest to you, my audience.  Also the product needs to be worthy of a review.  It is not in my interest to review inferior or poor quality products and therefore as you might expect many requests are politely declined.

Any sponsored videos (paid for reviews) are clearly stated as such so there can be no misunderstanding.  Even with sponsored reviews I will only agree to a sponsorship on products and services which I believe will be of genuine interest to viewers.

I will always make reference in the video to products which have been provided for review by a supplier and I always make it clear to the supplier that they cannot influence or be involved in the review in any way if they choose to supply a product.

Sometimes a supplier will provide a link to the product or the supplier which I am happy to include in the description.  Sometimes I will be provided with an affiliate link so I can earn a commission on sales and this helps to support channel costs but never at the expense of an honest review.

If a product I have reviewed is available from Amazon I will often include an Amazon link in the description.  As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. If you purchase a product or service with the links that I provide I may receive a small commission. There is no additional charge to you.

Comments:

I really appreciate the feedback in the comments - I find it a source of knowledge and inspiration - so thank you to all of you who take the time to contribute. I have recently found that if I continue to respond to all the comments as the number of videos builds, it takes time away from being able to produce new content which would be very counter productive! - so my aim is to read everything I can and reply when I can, after each video goes live, until the next video goes live a week later. I'll see how that works out 😊

Thank you for supporting the channel so I can continue to provide you with regular reviews, thoughts and ideas and (hopefully) inspiration! Please consider subscribing to keep up to date with new video releases.

Hi Jon! Thanks for a lovely channel with well-produced episodes. As for the InCharge 6, I've had one of these for more than a year and it really is nimble. Of course, there are situations when you prefer a cable. Not least when you want to use your smartphone while simultaneously charging it. But when traveling this is a great (and lightweight) tool to keep in your EDC pouch or on your keychain ring. I rarely leave home without it.

Sure those are the absolute best gadgets you can get if the said gadget does more than one task, the more the better, just like a Swiss army knife, great quality and easy to use, is the best ones to buy, thanks for the vid, I always appreciate your opinions and the items you have one the vids are always useful to the masses, you know what's up and what people really want/need, again thanks for sharing, , also I wish they could get it right when using the fittings and connectors because it seems they get loose really fast or I just use mine more than others, I mean I have to bite the connection ends sometimes to tighten them up, isn't that stupid...

The thing I am planning on doing to solve this problem, is to buy several adapters just to keep in my pocket, like micro to USB c, USB c to Micro, micro to lightning. Three adapters, that can be carried connected together, then have one cable which doesn't matter what "end" it has.

Also, I will probably purchase a power pack that has Qi, since a lot of phones have this power transfer technology.

It seems that would require the least amount of gear to carry around. The downside being the tiny adapters are far to easy to loose, and loosing some functionality (especially using Apple Products.)

Having individual adapters too allows for more flexibility, because you can add an adapter when the next USB Cable is developed.

Currently I have a micro to lightning, and USB c to micro, and a power pack with USB A out.

Interesting product, much like yourself, I can't see myself carrying one on my keys. Although I could see myself keeping one in my EDC Wallet, this is where I think the company have missed a trick because the unique design and functions, a slightly bigger option, with a slightly longer cable would likely be a major win or even one with customisable options, i.e. for those who have no need for lightening. Definitely a company I'll be watching to see how they move forward.

Was that my comment? Still very pleased with mine. The only thing I think could be improved is the micro-usb port being reversible. How well the micro-usb holds in place does differ from device to device. I’m pretty sure I’ve used mine for data as well but I’m not sure if all configurations support data.

This is a very neat thing to have. I looked into this and when I opened Amazon and searched for it, the reviews put me off :(

As for the content of this video review, as usual its nice and with high quality. Keep at it Jon!

It sounded like an ideal product until you got to the loose micro-usb connector. I have several items with that type of port, so I won't be getting this product, which is a shame, because it's so compact and seems well-made. My current system is bulkier. Thank you for the review and saving me £23.

Thanks for another great video Jon. Been eying these up for a while but was unaware of the X iteration. So thanks for the heads up, even if my wallet would’ve been happier had I still been in ignorance lol. Cheers mate! 👍🏻

Oh. Just checked. The “X” in the other version doesn’t signify scissors. Gutted 😉😂😂👍🏻

Yep, have one in my EDC kit, I added a couple of additional adapters just to give me options. I also bought a SPOOLY (look it up) as the only down side I find InCharge is the shortness. The main problem with mini EDC pouch set-up in the UK is the size of our plugs, so if you want to have a plug with a USB socket in it (for charging) you have to make space. The smallest folding plug I've found is still a bit chunky.

The micro-USB worked for some of my stuff, but not for all. For example it did not work at all for my Sony wh-1000xm2 headphones. I like it anyway, I'll be carrying it from now on.

That is my preference in my EDC, 3 separate 3" cables for all my charge and sync needs. Not having sync on these all in one devices is real short sight in my opinion.

I have the in charge 6 and incharge X (and incharge X Max) and just the additional dust cap on the X improves on the design as my incharge 6 suffered from pocket flint damaging the usb C port resulting in it not working (lightning port still works perfectly) only slight negative as an Android user is on the X they swapped the Usb C and lightning round... but that's it so far 🤷🏼‍♂️
