My mother had an actual music box that played this, she used to put it for me when I was tiny.

So you can imagine the creepy surprise when I realized I recognized the tune right away but forgot why.

Fun fact: the reason that this song plays and Freddy's eyes start glowing when the power goes out is that it was feature originally made to comfort children in the dark.

Fun fact: Freddy lights up and plays this music box because he was programmed to sing the lullaby and light up the area to calm down kids if the building’s power goes out. Once the power runs out, Freddy detects it, and runs the process.

This perfectly fits Freddy, I really apprecite how well designed of a threat he is, hes an animatronic bear who doesnt look very scary but hes also VERY big and is actively making his way towards you the whole game, and stalks you from the dark the entire game until right when hes already caught you

one time i was in my school locker room after a basketball game at like 10:00 and then the power went out and i played this. literally every single boy in the locker room screamed. to this day, nobody knows who did it. i feel so self accomplished.
