Depends on the gym you go to. Sometimes the seated leg curl machines just will never allign with me knees properly so I end up doing myself damage

After watching this video, I tried this at my gym. Holy crap. This thing torched my hamstrings. I could barely walk. Way better than the laying curl.

My gym’s lying hamstring curl machine is very adjustable you can get a better stretch than most lying machines (still not as deep as seated). When the seated one was broken for a few months I had to use lying. Found that adding a pad under my quads when lying down really added some stretch too

The muscle is stretched on both lying and seated Jeff. Some laying leg press machines are also declined at the 45 degree to compensate for the additional stretch basically very similar or the same as the seated ham curl. The difference in the stretch upon the two is basically admissible and really potentially based off the machines design you could get a further stretch on a laying ham curl if the lever extends slightly further then parallel..

My opinion obviously but I don't agree with the advice. It is negligible at best.

I've always preferred lying leg curls, but this makes me rethink my approach. Looking forward to testing this out soon.
