My daughter dances seriously. The amount of training involved is insane & making it into Julliard is a huge deal. That he will not even allow her a space to dance is so sad & shows that he is afraid that she might second guess his decisions that steam rolled her dreams.

So ex mormon here just wanted to say that this vid is triggering for me but please keep getting eyes on this. These women are trained from birth to be obedient wives and the abuse that takes place is heartbreaking because they tell you its your fault, be better, so infuriating

Non Mormon here, but I have friends and live in a majority LDS/mormon area. My LDS friends are amazing women that have a bunch of kids and work hard to make their lives look picture perfect, but all of their husbands control the big decisions in their lives. They all defer to their husbands to make most decisions. I’m all for healthy marriages where it’s 50/50, but this is something that is closer to 80/20, they can make small decisions, but everything else is asking their spouse, because they are the “patriarchs”.

Also, for what it’s worth, the ballerina farm images that they portray don’t quite pass the sniff test as someone who farms. Those milking robot machines are millions of dollars, and dairy equipment is very very expensive. This isn’t something just anyone can do on a shoe string budget, they have a lot of money behind them. They are cosplaying like they are just your humble neighbors that live in the country. They aren’t, nothing on the internet is real.

As someone who was not in a religious marriage, it was extremely difficult to leave my husband as a stay at home mother of 4. Apart from having no financial support, the guilt I felt from “splitting up” my family was immense. I eventually had to leave my children with my ex husband for a time until I could afford to have them live with me again. The people telling her to “just leave” need to think about the extenuating circumstances.

I grew up Mormon, and only recently left. While some of the culture is more flexible, being a trad wife is absolutely encouraged.
This woman needs to get away from her narcissistic husband.

Ballerina Farms is NOT a Trad wife. They’re basically rich people who are cosplaying as Little House on the Prairie
They don’t normally dress like that or eat every meal from scratch.
There are photos and videos of her in leggings & the kids in regular clothes and she still competes in pageants and models.
The whole farm style life is mostly to make money and make videos for youtube.
I’m not hating, BTW. I think Hannah and her kids are adorable and I enjoy watching her videos. Although, I’m smart enough to know that it’s not their real life.

To add factoids: the LDS church has had a decrease in youth members and new members. A lot of this is because missions don't work as well as they once have. So the LDS church (which is about as wealthy as the catholic church with less members) sponsors tradwive creators and grows connections with LDS influencers. The tradwife to LDS pipeline is strong. Do remember that you have to give 10% of your income for tithing and that women are viewed as a mother as their primary goal and their husband has to allow their wife into heaven.
