Step 1. Install Drive Belt
Adjust the belt to the mid-level of the platter with the belt hook.
Step 2. Put Belt on Motor Shaft
Turn the platter several times to make sure the belt is at the correct level.
Step 3. Balanced tonearm
Step 4. Counterweight Setting 0g
Keep the counterweight still, just rotate the dial until "0" is at the top.
Step 5. Counterweight Setting 3.5g
Rotate the counterweight to the recommended 3.5 grams.
Step 6. Turn on Turntable
Move the cartridge to the desired position, lower lift rod.

can you explain more how to balance the tone arm, i don’t understand what it’s supposed to look like when it’s balanced and i don’t understand how to set it up, my records keep skipping

I got this turntable but it just doesnt start spinning the record. The red light is on, im putting the tone arm on it but just nothing happens. I dont really know what to do right now

The directions have a little black round plastic disk that goes between the felt and the record. This vid does not show that. Is that correct??

Can you please give more detail on how to balance the tone arm? The instruction manual doesn't give clear instructions and this video skims over it rapidly.

When I do as this video says turning the weight to 3.5 results in it being turned until it can not be turned any tighter. That's 3.5 when I balance according to both the video and manuals instructions. Is that correct?

Wait. What's the point of balancing the tone arm and then moving the counterweight forward on the tonearm? Wouldn't that change the balance? Shouldn't you move the weight all the way into it's final position first? Then you would balance the tonearm so it hovers parallel to the plstter, set the zero setting on the counterweight, and then dial in the final tracking weight.
