Clogged Ears - Ear Problems

Having the sensation that your ears are clogged or plugged can be a sign that there is something medically wrong with your ears. Here are some of the more common causes of clogged ears.

1. Earwax
2. Eustachian Tube Dysfunction
3. External Ear Infection
4. Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSHL)

Each one of these conditions should be diagnosed and treated by the appropriate Ear specialist. Don't risk your hearing by letting the cause of your clogged ears go undiagnosed.

Mine was because of loud music through headphones. Sounds like everyone is talking under water. I was reading it will take a few days to return to normal. Kinda scared 4 days now

I've experienced SSHL twice, actually. Once about 10 years ago, and again about a month ago. Prednisone did it's job and my hearing has returned to what it was before my second onset. Very nice info, Doc!

So in my right ear it feels muffled and uncomfortable but no pain, I’m sick with a runny nose, coughing, and my throat was hurting but is now better, but the problem is I woke up with it and it’s been 2 days

As helpfull as this guy is it's pretty scary having frobbing in ears, my doctor said it may be tinytis but it's not a ringing it's like a frobbing in eardrum 😥

My ear feels clogged but I can still hear fine ig maybe a bit muffled but not that much of a difference. There’s no pain, no drainage, sometime it’s itchy inside and I’m not sick, even before the ear becoming clogged. I woke up with perfectly normal functioning ear and then throughout the day I can kinda feel a bit of pressure but then it got worse towards night time and it’s been like that ever since. It’s been going on for 6 days. I’m so scared.
