I remember doing this for a man who's wife brought him in, she was shouting at him the whole time they were in the lobby. I thought I was in for a show. She explained in a calm voice to me that for the past 7 years his hearing has been getting worse. But he works with heavy equipment so they thought maybe he was starting to have hearing loss. I asked if I could take a look in his ears... what I saw I will never forget. The auralscope didn't even go in his ear. It took 45 minutes to clear both ears. She asked him a question when we cleared the first ear, and he almost cried because he hadn't heard his wife's voice in so long. They left whispering.😊

My husband had this done, and afterwards kept asking me if I could hear things like the elavator creeking for days after. He was so astonished at what sounds were normal 😂

Don't judge, but I couldn't hear right for ten years. I told so many people, including my doctor and nurse practitioner, and was always told there was nothing in there. My Junior year of college, I couldn't hear at all out of my right ear and could hear seldom out of my left. When I went to my University Health Services, I was told that my right ear was completely blocked. They told me that my hearing levels in my ears were equivalent to the hearing levels of my legally deaf grandfather. It took over a week to get it all out and I realized what it was to hear again. The wax they got out of my right ear was a ball literally the size of a marble. I had forgotten what it felt like to not have droning in my ears, to be able to hear sounds that I had not noticed before. Always listen to what you feel when you know something in your body is off!

Ugh, this reminded me of when my 64yo dad had this happen to him, and he was so sure he was losing his hearing, he was moping around about it, and I had asked him if he had seen a doctor about it. He said no, so I made him go to an urgent care clinic. The doctor came in, already annoyed for no reason, barely stuck the scope in his ear for a millisecond, told my dad there was nothing wrong and that he was probably going deaf and should see a specialist, then left the room. I was so pissed! My dad later went to a specialist and they told him he was fine, and he just had impacted wax in his ear, and got it out for him. He was so happy afte that.

I woke up one day with severe sharp pains in my left ear. Went to the ENT which looked into my ear with the camera thingy and saw just white and green fuzz aka an ear infection but from mold caused by rain water (I’m from the islands).

The washing out of my ear was like scratching the scratchiest itch you’ve ever had in your life. So much pleasure and relief! Went on antifungal meds for a few weeks and it completely cleared but baby. I would pay just to get my ears washed out again just for the pleasure.

Is nobody going to talk about how it’s named the Earigator?

My husband thought he couldn’t hear well because of his previous tympanoplasty. But when i cleaned his ears for the first time, i cleared 1.5x1.5cm of impacted cerumen from both his ears. After that, he could hear normally again. I regularly check his ears once a month and he’s never had that big of an ear wax again.

Just food for thought before you get this done…….
I had this issue for years before I got it taken care of, no actual negative symptoms it was just embarrassing every time someone looked in my ear.
I got this procedure done and the nurse pushed out a wax ball the size of a garbanzo bean. I got permanent damage. My ear hurts HORRIBLY every time I’m sick and every time cold air hits me during the winter. My ear rings loudly and I get muffled hearing randomly. Please consider using a wax dissolving solution before trying this procedure.

I had this done once. I was told by the ENT my ear canals were deformed. They were extremely small and tight. They used this exact tool except it WASNT STRONG ENOUGH to blast through the wall of dried blood and earwax. They used a metal tool to break the wall of wax but still couldn't get the water past it because my canals were so tiny. They then turned the machine ALL the way up and it felt like pressure washer inside my head. It eventually did work and the blockage popped out in a huge EXPLOSION OF BLOOD AND EARWAX THAT GOT ALL OVER EVERYONE IN THE ROOM. It was DISGOSTEN and the nurse got some in her mouth and ran out of the room spitting... I was MORTIFIED but didn't even care becuase the relief was amazing THANK YOU ENT. SORRY TO THAT NURSE

When i was studying music a classmate of mine had been struggling for years, failing classes over and over and just not progressing. She found put her ears had been clogged for years and got them cleaned out. She said at first her ears really hurt from.any sound but then she could hear things and it was a whole new world. She was able to progress in her classes extremely fast because she could finally hear what was going on. It was so wonderful to watch

I will never again get water forced into my ears. I had this done by my primary DR and it hurt so bad I literally cried and wouldn’t let them do the other. I felt it in my ear, temple, jaw, and neck. I told my ENT about it and he said if anyone ever tried to squeeze water into my ear again to slap their hand away. My ENT uses a soft suction tip and it works great!

I had my ears pumped out when I was 4-6 years old on a military base in AK. Best feeling ever to get rid of the clumps of wax. It’s gross to see but I have great empathy for the woman and anyone that’s endured clogged ears.

I went deaf for a few days and was sent to one of these specialists. I believe its where the term "eargasm" comes from. The relief is incredible

I used to have recurring otitis media between the ages of 2-8 and I remember once when I was maybe 6 my grandma picked me up from school and took me to an appointment that I didn’t remember I was having. The doctor said it was a “wet hoover” and the relief I felt when months /years worth of impacted earwax and probably pus came out. When we left the office I realised I could hear my grandma easily and even out of my left ear which was usually the worst one!! I’ll never forget how it felt watching tv that night and asking why it was so loud!! My mum was like, “this is the volume you used to need!!”
