Is the GoPro Hero 9 the best vlog camera?

Hey everyone! I just bought the new GoPro Hero 9 (NOT SPONSORED IN ANY WAY) and wanted to test out its video capabilities for vlogging with and without the media mod on. I did some tests while out and about in San Diego, and my favorite features are the front-facing LCD preview screen, horizon leveling, and 20 mp photos, but is the GoPro hero 9 my new favorite vlog camera?

The smooth footage is a game changer and sound is pretty impressive. This has got to be a lot better/easy/comfortable than carrying a dslr or mirrorless.

I’m super impressed by the sound on this GoPro. I have used GoPro for years and have always been impressed by the improvements with each release, but the one thing I never loved, or even liked was the sound quality. This is a huge improvement! Kind of sad I upgraded to the Hero8 at the beginning of this year because now I want this one! Haha!

The Hero 9 is certainly an epic vlog setup, although I'd highly recommend upgrading the audio via the Media Mod and external mic and the MAX Lens Mod is also a super helpful tool! 🤙

Thank you! I really love your videos! I just started a daily vlog but I don't have a lot of experience with cameras or film making so I got a Gopro 9 just to focus on getting my mind wrapped around the story telling aspect of a daily vlog--- how to keep it interesting and such. This video really helped me out!

I've used the Gopro 9 for about 3 months now and have made about 20 videos. Now that I feel like I have the editing, daily vlog work flow and basic videography under my belt with the Gopro 9, I think that I'm ready to move onto a more serious camera like the Canon M50! BUT I highly recommend the Gopro 9 for anyone looking to get their toes wet before they jump into the ocean that is VLOGGING.

This is kind of a loaded question, but when you first started surfing, did you ever get intimidated in a line up that’s predominantly guys? If so, how did/do you I guess cope with that intimidated feeling? Love you and your videos💛
