Story 4: A major rule in weddings is that, if you don't have the permission, you don't propose in someone else's wedding. You don't steal the attention from the bride and groom, because it's their day. No ifs, ands, or buts.

treating a "miracle baby" like they can do no wrong is guaranteed to turn them into a demon

The brother proposing at the reception reminds me of another AITA story. The groom knew that his entitled brother was going to propose at his wedding, but couldn't convince the brother (or their parents) that he wouldn't allow this. So, he hired a pregnant actress to attend the wedding. When the brother dropped to one knee, the pregnant woman came forward, yelling at him that he already had one child on the way. The groom had given her a full bio of his brother, so she had answers for every counter-argument he had. The brother's girlfriend said "no" and ran out crying. Served him right.

Story 2: The only thing that really separates the kid from everyone else was that he was born after a lot of miscarriages. That was it. Other than that, he's just another kid.

You don't spoil a kid rotten just because he was born after so many miscarriages. You could spoil him _just a little_ because everyone does that, but that's it.

HOLY SHIT that guy at the beginning sounds like the most mature and chill guy ever. He saw that his son wanted to eat stuff other than the vegan stuff and realized it would go nowhere if he argued with his wife about it and let him get little snacks on the way to football practice AND when his son threw him under the bus, he didn't blame him, he understood.

The wife in the first story is actually delusional for calling her husband an "animal abuse enabler" over caring about THEIR SON

if her son is so special and miraculous, shouldn't she push him to become a good person?

Too be honest, recording and uploading videos of your kid online as an 'influencer' is a horrible thing to do to them. Even if it's the tamest content imaginable, that video is going to be up and accessible to anyone forever. It's just the next stage of child pageantry, while not as bad as pimping out your child to a board of creepy judges it's not much better, instead you're using your kid for clout to a nameless amorphous sea of eyes.

The second guy was so right, he definitely misworded it in the moment but he's right. Your child being special, in WHATEVER way, does NOT exempt them from being a spoiled brat. And it most DEFINITELY doesn't exempt you from being a bad parent by enabling them and excusing their behavior.

7:15 YES, TAKE YOUR NAKED KIDS OFFLINE. Some people are SO fucked up out there, please do not post your kids publicly. You can private content on MOST social medias if you still want to post it, but CONTROL WHO IS LOOKING. Ty for coming to my Ted Talk.
13:07 I changed my last name at 18 due to family reasons (not for money) but my sibling didn’t, so it really does depend on what a family name means to you.

For the third story, I instantly knew the mother would be the AH. "Family vlogging" and "AH" go together like peanut butter and jelly. They are synonymous. You CANNOT convince me otherwise, because that kind of content will eventually spiral into using children for profit. You can tell just by the first few sentences of the post that the mother wanted to be an influencer rather than a parent. The post is most likely fake, but I wouldn't put it past humanity, thus why I'm passionate about it.

#5 Story: Her not wanting to change the son's last name is rooted in being hurt that her baby daddy didn't want her or the kid. This kid has the chance to inherit vasts amounts of wealth by doing one simple thing as a name change. Which can be change back just as easily once he gets the money.

I love these videos. Some are stupid, funny, or just straight rage inducing.

If changing the surname of my child meant them inheriting generational wealth, I'd do it in a heartbeat, no questions asked. If possible I'd try and bargain with the grandparents to move my surname to being the middle name.

I hope the guy can get custody of his "mommy influencer's" kids. Those poor babies don't deserve to be exploited like that. The only narcissistic controlling one in this situation is the mom and her "friends"

The last story let the kid decide when he is 16 to get the name change. He'll be old enough and hopefully mature enough to understand why his mom declined the offer when he was a child. Its an inheritance so there is no money until the grandparents die. The dad was only 28 leaving the grandparents to have hopefully some good odd years left to be apart of the boy's life
