Follow ups and goodies pointed out in the comments:

- Good takeaway from the fly story is about boundaries and how to manage them. Don’t break your partners boundaries, but also talk about things instead of silent tretment

- Wedding dress story gets even wilder and seems like the husband lied about why the friend wore the dress, leading to a full on divorce? lol

- 15 y/o with insomnia; as people are pointing out insomnia is a real issue, which the comments in the post whoosh. Also punishing a long distance relationship is hardly productive in this case.

I went back to take a scroll and it’s really hard to get any full context.
It seems they only get partial help regarding another issue in therapy, but not for photosensetivity or insomnia. But the parents may also not know about all of it? May also be a monetary issue regarding therapy.
It is a very fragmented story and I hope they get to the point they can communicate with the parent, and the parent is receptive and they get the best help possible
(Since the story is hard to grasp, and too many assumptions are made, both by myself and in the thread, I decided to cut it as it's not really productive)

AITA post are always either “AITA for stopping my family from abusing me further” or “AITA for killing my sister’s cat because she didn’t support my demands”. There’s no in-between.

Am I the butthole?
I keep teasing my audience with a fake bingo board. Just when they forget about it, I bring it up again. It’s supposed to be a prank but some people tell me that they aren’t laughing, so maybe I’m taking it too far? But I don’t think I am

For the Corpse Bride story, there was an update (in a separate post). The husband lied to the wife in order to try and ruin her friendship with OP, because he never liked OP. The wife reached out and apologized to OP after learning that her husband lied.

The guy's "stupid" wife is actually incredibly intelligent, judging by the fact that she knows *_AT LEAST_* two languages, to the point where she's told she _sounds like a native speaker._ I also have a feeling that the only reason she's insecure about her intelligence is because of her husband degrading her and making jokes at her expense.

Update on the Corpse Bride wedding dress story!
The husband was actually jealous of OP'S friendship with the bride and wanted to sabotage it by making her think OP knew it was the wedding. She found out the truth and realized how controlling and manipulative her new husband was. Dumped him. Their friendship is okay.

Stealing a passport is a federal crime, regardless of the reason. If convicted, up to 25 years at one of Uncle's grey bar motels. Father should have scared the stuff out of those two. "We can't find the passport. I'll have to call the FBI."

The guy with the "not smart" wife is beyond ahole to abuser. The minute she said "speak when spoken to" I knew where this was headed, and then when she went nuts over one compliment I was sure.
This woman never hears affirmation from the man she's married to. She sticks around because he's convinced her she has no other options and she's too stupid to survive without him. Then someone comes by and shows her she has worth, that she's good at something - of COURSE she's going to be floating on cloud nine! And then he can't handle her being happy and maybe eventually thinking she might not need him after all, so he squashed it to keep her under his thumb. Man I hope she gets out safe. Given the multilingual comment I'm guessing she may be in a mail-order bride type situation and has no family nearby to help her.

Speaking as someone with multiple degrees, there is a difference between intelligence and education, and the husband bullying his "stupid" wife is so much the AH, I feel like he needs a special award for AH achievement.

That would be funny though to have a AITAH bingo, some of the spots should have “Wedding stories”, “Child abuse”, “LGBTQ+ phobia”, “Actually the AH”, and “Why did you even post this, you’re obviously not the AH”!

Edit: I’d also like to add some of the suggestions I got in the replies here that I liked;
“Cheating partner”, “Horrible in-laws”, “I can’t believe my SO would do this, tho there was this one time-“, “Title making the story sound way worse than it is”, “Obvious lying”, “Hiding stuff in the story to sound way better”, “Overreaction”, and “bUt tHEy aRe FaMiLy!!!1!”

"No normal person keeps talking about a compliment this long."

No normal person repeats the word "intelligent" as if it's a whole aristocratic class.

God that last one pisses me off. I have a friend, (one that I used to date I might add) who was bitching to me about how "his friend" who used to be 300lbs and lost 100lbs, and he was "concerned" about her because she "got lazy" wouldn't keep losing weight.

After sitting there in shock listening to him talk this way about her for a couple minutes I laid into him and ripped his entitled ass a new one.

"You're fat shaming!" Wait until this woman finds out that germs exist in skinny people, too.

the guy telling his wife that she's not intelligent sounds like he just flat-out negged her into submission for so long and is afraid that any positivity will reveal him to be the villain he actually is.

The girl dipping her fingers into food sounds toxic-
She keeps doing sth that her partner told her MULTIPLE TIMES not to do and then gets defensive and accuses him of sth he didn't even do.
She is also very selfish because her second long "childhood experience" is more important than her partner having to do more work and potentially causing people to be sick (she literally did that when he went to shower, probably expecting him not to see her do it which would put his sister's clients and her business at risk).

OP is DEFINITELY not the AH, they need a serious talk about boundries.

I feel like 49% of these stories are "AITA for expecting common decency from absolute psychopaths"
49% are "AITA for doing this totally monstrous thing?"
and only 2% are ACTUALLY debatable.

Good grief. The story about the stepsisters and hiding the passport has genuine Cinderella vibes. Stepmother backs up her biological children and doesn't care about her stepdaughter. Sheesh...

Okay, while a 15 year old shouldn't be going out at night, especially in certain places, people who tell teenagers and people with more nocturnal tendencies to just, "try to fix your sleep schedule, " are the bane of my existence, because it is NEVER that easy

For the last one, i have a friend who are GENUINELY "concerned" for me. The situation is the same..im around the same height and weight as the chubby girl..but you know how my friend showed shes concerned? She didnt police me about my food, instead she invited me to hang out, and eat healthy, because she wants to. She knows im not picky, so she pick healthy places and i, in turn would just eat it as well with no complaint. She would ask me to ACCOMPANY her to the gym (tho im still adamant because im feeling shy- self esteem issue and all). She didnt say "go to the gym, youre fat", she asked me, only a FEW times..if we wanna be gym buddies. She was the first person to genuinely praised me and call me beautiful without prompt
(It really was sudden, we were hanging out and she praised me, and not just that one time, a few others- and as someone with self esteem issue, i almost cried). If i trip, instead of "haha this is why you should go to the gym" the first thing she would ask is if im ok. Istg shes too nice and kind for this world..and deserve the best.

Also she should planned outings with me earlier because i kept missing her calls, maybe ill call her to hangout tmr
