I had an item sold by Amazon where there was a price increase three days after I placed the order. After more than 30 days the item still hadn't shipped. I then called customer support several times over the next two weeks. I finally told the representative that I bet that if I ordered another one at the higher price that I would receive it, and if I did then I'd be filing a formal complaint with the FTC.

I received the second order for the item in two days as promised. I called customer service and told them I knew I was right all along and that the item was not "out of stock" as they claimed. The original order was delivered two days later.

The fact that our economy is as the point where dollar stores is the only way for entire communities to afford things mean we are in a bad place and don’t want to admit it. People are taking on more debt and the K Shaped economy and cheap entertainment is keeping us from seeing how bad this bubble is. Shein and Temu recieve heavy subsidies from the CCP that cover their shipping. Also China is technically a 'developing country' according to the IMF so they get trade benefits from that as well
