Assuming that the Exodus timeline is historically accurate (admittedly quite a stretch), then the Israelites had a four hundred year trend of not owning humans as property. It's hard to imagine a better opportunity to make a clean break from the practice, and cement it into the culture as tradition. To a god wanting his people to differentiate themselves from their former captors, an explicit ban on chattel slavery should have been low hanging fruit.

If there were a god, it would know that the world abolished slavery during the 19th and 20th Centuries, but no, the supposed "Word of God" (Word of Bullshit 😂) talks about slavery like it's normal everyday life.

Except, they did have a notion that slavery was a negative thing, because of Leviticus 25:39 - your brother shall not be your slave.

Good point but you also forgot to mention...when the kingdom comes we will sit with him in heavenly place and rule n rain over nations. Slavery of Christianity is really total servitude to our Heavenly Father.

Oh my goodness people.. surely by now someone has told you that the slavery in the Bible was more like indentured servitude. God didn’t abolish it because there’s nothing inherently wrong with selling your services to pay off a debt or earn a wage to be able to survive.
He did regulate it though. All the things we associate with slavery (kidnapping, rape, assault, murder) are roundly condemned in the Bible.
