Thank you for sharing this new vocabulary quiz, Wes! As always, this one was both useful and interesting.

Nevertheless, I found it hard to figure out the word you were referring to, even though I knew almost all of them, except for “swerve” and “wistful”. And, to be honest, I tend to be somewhat disappointed each time I choose a synonym which—as you yourself say—could be used in the corresponding context, but which is not the one you’ve provided in your example sentence.

Please don’t take this comment as some sort of criticism, Wes! I honestly appreciate your effort to help your students improve their English skills!

I simply prefer the multiple choice questions, because otherwise one might come up with more than just one “correct” answer.
