I would love for their to be a cure. I am sick of going to the hospital and they don't even know if gluten is in the pills they are giving me and I have to demand they check each time. They need to train the hospital staff better and my regular PCP doctor needs to have a better understanding of it. I'm so tired of just being dismissed and being told of you just have chronic fatigue syndrome, or IBS or fibromyalgia. There needs to be more treatment plans for celiac that are covered under insurance if that means I need IV/vitamin injections. Anything to make the misery of the constant sluggishness, brain fog, ADD and feeling over whelmed with how tired I feel at such a young age.

Celiac disease is horrible. Unfortunately all the experts want to do is talk about symptoms…. guess what? Ever symptoms can be caused by celiac . No real progress has been made. It’s really sad.

I was diagnosed with Coeliac at the age of 1, you never know if it’s better or worse because it means you don’t miss the foods you like but it also means you never get to try everyday food people adore

My brother was diagnosed as a 6 year old. His doctors refused to think he would have Celiac. My Mom has RA another autoimmune disease and we have lots of family history that would support his diagnosis. His growth has been stunted slightly (maybe a bit more than that) he was bullied as a 6th grader for being the height of a kindergartener. As a family with 8 kids my parents kinda struggle sometimes but we always have gluten-free alternatives for my brother. (Some cases I think the Gluten-free food tastes better)

I got it at 5 and since then has been laughed at and left out of stuff like eating cake that someone brought in bc they forget I’m gluten free
