You convinced me yet again sir. I’ve been looking for an upgrade to something a bit nicer for my edc pen and this video sold me. I had the copper one in my cart until I saw how nice the patina was on the bronze. You’ve been my go to source for my knife and wallet upgrades too. Keep up the good work and stay safe!

Best pen ever. I have very expensive mountblanc’s, but I love my tactical turn pen more. It is good. Thanks Taylor for exposing me to this pen.

Looks like he’s definitely made some improvements over the older generation. A big issue I had with the last generation is that the bolt would sometimes unscrew from the mechanism itself, and the pen was a bit too unwieldy in general. I think I like what he’s done here. Not sure if it would be comparable to some of the higher-end, bolt-action pens but still a solid improvement overall. Thanks for the video!

Great video. Tell us about your watch selection/specs. I like the hexagonal metal steel look. I'm looking for an organic chemistry watch <even if I have to mod one myself>.

Dang I wish I would've waitied for these new ones! I have the copper glider bolt action, still love it.

I'm disappointed at the lack of anodized aluminum models in the $60 range. The $99 price is already high for me for a pen and I don't really like the polished titanium. I'd really like to see less expensive colored anodized aluminum models in the future.

I ordered one. It arrived today. Overall, I like it a lot. I agree with everything said in the video (although the end unscrews just fine on mine. Maybe Nick is just screwing his on too tight 😄). But anyways, two things I have noticed: the specific shape of the channel in which the bolt slides up and down in my pen seems to be a bit different than what I see on the pens in the video or on the TT website. It's still a J-shape but the bottom of the "J" is a bit less round or 'fat' than what I see on the other pens. This means that I need to provide a bit of side-force with my thumb, whereas it seems that with the other pens, the rounder arc of the channel is enough to guide the bolt laterally with just a downward motion of the thumb. To be clear, it's not a giant problem. The bolt still snaps into place good and hard. But I see people flicking their bolts back and forth super quickly with just quick flicks of their thumb, and with mine, I can't do that. I need to put slightly more effort into my thumb movement, so I can't just quickly snap it back and forth. I mean, it's not like it's a huge problem, but I'm just saying. The other thing I notice is that there's a sharp point on the body of my pen. It's on the edge of the bolt channel at the midpoint of the "J". The edge of the channel is smooth, meaning It's not a burr or some random bit of metal sticking out, but I think it's just that with the less rounded shape of the channel, where the "J" turns its corner, the two lines come together at a tighter angle than seen on the other pens, forming a sharp point. Again, not a massive problem, but, to be honest, over the course of the many, many years I hope to be using this pen, depending on how I reach for the pen, it may end up cutting me at some point (granted, it would likely be a small cut, but still...). OK then, adios.

Great. How does behave with sweaty hands? Doesn't it become slippery?

That is a crazy price point. I'd love one of these but $99 for a pen is way out of my reach. I'm sure these pens are amazing though

Wait a minute - I think I remember this guy telling me what apps he had on his android like eight years ago. Nice to see you again Taylor!

Ohif I hadn’t just bought the brass slider a couple months ago, that bronze would be in my cart faster than you could say “take my money!”. Infinitely jealous of everyone who’s getting one, and impressed at the workmanship TT provides.

Was trying to find videos on the new slim bolt actions and wound up here.

One thing I miss about the glider/slider era was the dlc coated titanium/black aluminum versions.

I remember learning about them from this channel a couple of days before those models had there final sale. Sold out and I was waiting for restock then new product got announced without any black versions. Admittedly I was a bit disappointed, but I'm probably going to get a zirconium one now

Hey EDC, I love the Spinnaker Dumas you're wearing, and their microbrand of watches too and think that they're easily the nicest automatic movement watches available, especially for their price and quality. I myself have a Green Croft SP5058-04 (but with a black StrapCode Jubilee on it mainly) and a blue Fleuss SP-5055-05 (with a StrapCode Thin Milanese Mesh in SS color) and absolutely LOVE them both. Eventually I'm going to get a Bradner, a Hull and either a Cahill or Spence.

Anyway, I was wondering which leather band is on your Dumas? It looks like an Xeric Trappist band but I can't make out the stamp on your clasp?

And I just watched my first video of yours here about the Tactile Turn EDC Pens, and now I have a bunch more I'm going to watch that I just "saved for later". I really liked that video and can't wait to watch more of them, so kudos to you for the cool videos.

I'm a TOTAL EDC-aholic too. I've been thinking about starting my own YouTube channel, and have you and a few other people that I watch to thank for my inspiration to do it. I would be reviewing my massive watch, knife and pen collection and some videos about other things that aren't EDC related.

I haven't bought a Tactile Turn EDC Pen yet, but I love my Fisher Space Pens, my Machine Era Markup Pen (just wish it had a much sturdier pocket clip), my Boker Plus Micarta (same issue about the pocket clip 😰🥺), my $35 Bastion Luxury pen, and my Refyne EP1 EDC Pen. The Bastion and Refyne are both rock solid all around. But my next pen will be a Karas Kustoms Render K and/or a Render Fountain Pen. I just wish those had postable caps on them!

Thanks for the videos and keep truckin on 😎👍⌚✌️🙏

Dang it, just picked up one of these on urban edc carry, and I’m pretty sure it’s the old model. Still looking forward to getting it, but now I’m going to need one of these updated ones

Would it be a bad idea to have the copper one as an electrician?

Any idea how to remove the grooves or how long it will take to wear them away? I really dislike the feel.
