Marlin Model 336 Classic Lever Action 30-30! (NEW RUGER LEVERGUN)

I got my first Marlin 30-30 from a $2.00 raffle in boy scouts back in 1991. I remember my daddy putting in his 2 bucks. I was shocked when his ticket was drawn. He turned and handed me that rifle and I still have her to this day. One of my sons will get her @ some point. One of the best rifles Ive ever had.

If my house was on fire & I could only save one gun, it would be my Marlin 336 .30-30 Win. that my dad gave me when I was in high school in the 1970's. It's the gun that has made the most memories with me. Even though some of my other guns are more valuable, my Marlin 336 is the most valuable to me. I'm glad Ruger has saved the brand & is continuing to make this classic deer rifle.

The Winchester model 94 and the Marlin 336 rifles are true classics when they are chambered for the 30-30.

Compared to my 3 1970s Marlin 336's in 30-30 I'd say so far I can't find anything negative truthfully, beautiful wood, everything is tight, amd the 1:20 twist rate hammer forged rifling seems to be spot on out of the box, I also bout the new Marlin 1895 SBL 45-70govt and it is probably my absolute favorite new Lever action, that 45-70govt is one awesome round.

My father bought me a 336 when I was able to start hunting. I still have it almost 30 years later. Still in great shape. Still one of my favorite rifles
