In 1989, 20 years after her passing and per her will, Princess Alice's remains were exhumed from the royal vault at Frogmore on the Windsor'Castle estate and were reinterned on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem because of her housing her Jewish friends, the Cohens during WWII. Prince Philip accompanied his mother's remains and witnessed the reinternment.


In 2017 and 2018 respectively when on official visits to Israel, Princes Charles and William visited their grandmother and Great grandmother's final resting place.
