When you reach a certain age life in prison doesn't mean anything; I know I'm at that age. Be careful when it comes to old people.

The moral of story. Fix the justice system or someone else will do it for you and its will be a lot messier

Personally, I'd rather give the gentleman a medal.

If this had happened in Virginia, the grandfather would be in prison right now! In my youth I was a drug addict and did some time. There was an old man named Mr. Beasley who was doing time for killing the guy who he caught red handed raping his 12-year-old granddaughter. Mr. Beasley lived on a farm he owned. He was very close to his granddaughter who came to see him often. One day he heard her scream in terror. He thought she was being attacked by coyotes or wild dogs. He grabbed his shot gun and ran towards the screams in the hay field. He came across a man raping his granddaughter in the middle of the field. Without hesitation he shot the sick, evil B@#$%&D and killed him. Mr. Beasley was in his 70s at the time this happened. He was charged with murder and sent to prison. Now the only time he could see his granddaughter was on Sundays in a prison visiting room. When he went to prison, he landed at St. Brides C/C. The "Convicts" there took good care of Mr. Beasley and made sure the "inmates" left him alone. Mr. Beasley was a very kind, respectful old gentleman. He was like a grandfather to the Convicts. If Mr. Beasley said he was thirsty; the Convicts would get him a case of sodas. Anything that man wanted, we were happy to provide it for him. Black or white, didn't matter, he treated all of us like we were his grandsons. We did the same for him! For the remainder of his time on earth, Convicts took care of him like a well-loved respected grandfather. He was a good man! I'll never forget him!
In my eyes and the eyes of everyone else except the Politicians, Government employees running the Judicial system, Mr. Beasley did nothing wrong! All this happened back in the mid to late 80s. I'm sure Mr. Beasley has passed on by now. But his story was one never talked about. I just thought I'd share it.
R.I.P. Mr. Beasley. I'm sure there's many lives you touched in a good way who still think about you today! I hope to see you again one day in Heaven!

Everyone pays their debts sooner or later. Everyone. Regardless of how rich or influential he is. And sometimes blood is the only acceptable currency.
ABSOLUTE RESPECT FOR THIS GRANDFATHER!

When corrupt law enforcement intentionally fails, a citizen has no other choice but to take matters into his/her own hands.

He did the right thing. Sometimes street justice is warranted.

He did the right thing to defend his granddaughter’s honor.

It's not just the three scumbags, but also the chief and prosecutors that need to be dealt with.

Now in my old age I understand and love the writing on a fellow Veterans tee shirt.

"Careful there Son. I didn't get to be this old for nothing."

I'm 62 years old and my wife of 37 years passed away 7 years ago. Not in the best frame of mind most of the time. Try real hard to be a good man for the memory of my bride, some days are a real challenge. Never have suffered fools well. You never know what someone's back story is. Best to tread real lightly.

As you get older, you have less and less to lose. A "Life" sentence has a lesser threat to an 80 year old man than it does to a 21 year old man.
* "Be careful threatening an old man because they can't fist fight any more. So they might just kill you right off"

The FBI and law enforcement should turn a blind eye to acts of justice like this.

How does that old saying go?
'I'm too old to fight
too slow to run
and the older I get
Life in prison doesn't worry me so much.'

As a mother, I don't blame him for getting justice for his granddaughter. 👍

With criminals having more rights than their victims do these days. I can’t blame the old man. Even the arms dealer was sympathetic to the old man’s cause. Also one of the officers protected the old man by moving the rifle around so the police chief would not find it. If something like that happened to my family and friends and if the police were unable or unwilling to make those responsible pay for their crimes. Then I would not have have a choice but but to make those responsible pay for their crimes.
But I would do that as a last resort for justice.

Never piss off an old guy.
If anything happened to my granddaughters I'd have little to lose - just a few years at the end of a good life.

sometimes justice doesn't prevail and the victim's family can do nothing, but this old man did,
