Correction: The penalty mentioned at 2:06 will only apply if you have 3, 000 or more Survival Points.

I do believe this game mode has potential and so I am going to state my 2cents in the hope that the feedback will get through. You have taken a game mode that has a lot of potential for fun and basically made the content dead on arrival (DOA) for the points I will list below.


1. Limiting players to only 4 of the total 29 classes is going to make the game mode immediately empty for the vast supermajority of players. Relatively well designed game mode I think a lot of people were excited for (or to at least try) ruined by the fact they can't play their main class. The developers stated it was because players won't have to understand how all of the classes work in order to compete. The simple fact of the matter is that when a player wants to engage in PvP, they want to do it on the class they have spent thousands of hours already playing. They may not know what the other 28 classes in the game do, but they are willing to try because they feel they know THEIR class THAT well. You cannot expect new players to try a brand new class in an arena with other players who have been playing that same class for 7-10 years. Even veteran PvP'ers don't know every single class in the game, their cooldowns, and their skill rotations. However, PvP is still fun for these players because all engagements are different and interactive. Players need to be able to enter this game mode on any class that they choose, otherwise it is DOA.

2. Daily quests are a great way to destroy the game mode and make it like a chore for adventurers who would otherwise find the content fun. Just run the game mode with no daily quests and up the overall rewards of the mobs and playing to compensate. No one wants to feel obligated to do dailies every single day or even every few days, it lowers the spirit of the game mode and goes against the spirit of black desert online as a foundation.

3. Penalty is absolutely the wrong way to go. Punishing players for PvP on a server that is supposed to be is a huge L. It discourages PvP on a this PVP SERVER. This would be like adding a karma penalty on ARSHA for players that are significantly lower gear score than you, it doesn't make sense. This system will mean that the higher rank you are on the server, the less PvP you will actually be able to participate in. This is against the spirit of the game mode and again destroys it for a lot of players. Instead, you can just lower the amount of points you get for defeating a player with lower points than you. Encourage players to defeat other players that have similar or higher points than them with bonus point rewards.

4. RNG losing gear on defeat is not fun. No one wants RNG involved when it comes to PvP. We saw this with resistances and various other examples in the past. RNG is just not a super fun element when losing gear on this server. Allowing you to get special upgraded gear is OK so long as players can still compete without that gear, but see the point below for that.

5. Having an all PvE gear set up on this PvP server is a little obnoxious. Allowing people to compete for resources and find gear that increases their ability to PvP is one thing, but what it looks like is you are trying to allow ALL PVE focused players to come in and enjoy these servers without PvPing at all. This game mode will never appeal to PvE players. It was supposed to be designed for players looking to engage in PvP. The focus of the gear progression should remain on PvP, otherwise you are discouraging PvP and player interaction. Instead what you will see are players just PvE grinding and not trying to engage in PvP whatsoever which is against the spirit of the game mode.

6. Exchange points seem really bad for rewards. Just doesn't seem like a whole lot of great rewards for the time invested. Ya there are some big failstacks but I don't think adventurers really care too much about that. There should be better rewards to incentive players to participate in the game mode.

Well done guys. You developed a minigame mode that was the furthest thing away from what Hardcore actually is. Good job making something that literally nobody asked for. An even better job for releasing something that will end up being a waste of development man power.

I hope PA reads this but please unlock the classes, we all play a main for a reason and its kind of giga unfair to play a class u never played vs someone who mains one of the 4 classes that are available :/

this type of pvp is my passion and what i've done most over the past 5 years, i tried it for the first time today and was incredibly disappointed to put it in the nicest way possible

I made a sorc, but then decided I should not waste my time on HC learning the combos, and switched to regular. Went back later to find out your play time on HC ticks away even if you're not playing. So I got to play a whole 4 minutes of actual HC time today. Awesome...

NGL I haven't played in a while and was looking forward to coming back for just normal hardcore on completely fresh servers, oh well.

Here is my feedback after 2 days of playing the new server mode. The rewards are actually good if you get the points in-game and then buy a mix of gold bars with other family items. It's around 2 to 3 billion per day (2 hours).

You can do the pre-season with 4 classes, but then you need to pause the mode for 1 or 2 months and include all classes. It's a must if you want this mode to thrive.

I'm super happy that you removed the "can't kill players with less than X% points" from the end-game mobs inside the game mode. Important fix!

The fact that after you log in you have to do the 2 hours and can't leave halfway and return later, even if the game is off, is terrible. Some of us can't be playing the game for 2 sequential hours.

The gear is way too hard to drop. I'm again happy that you fixed this fast on this global labs.

I think there are too many safe zones. I see people with high points farming close to them and then running to safe when attacked.

The gear should have the same logic on AP and DP numbers as the original game. It's super confusing and more stuff to adapt and learn.

DEAD ON ARRIVAL LOL PA MAKING 29 CLASSES BUT ONLY 4 CLASS AVAILABLE TO USE IN HARDCORE SERVER and their reason is the player will be overwhelm if they release all the class at once what a pathetic idiotic reason most of the player only play the class they know how to use what more in PVP that you have to master the class there is no HOPE in PA they always don't listen they just BOW BOW and BOW
