Yeah... one time I built up three blocks to kill an iron golem and it was next to a block that the iron golem could hit me from there. It hit me and I got a heart attack. I died, but luckily it wasn't hardcore.

the biggest mistake we do in our hardcore worlds is not placing torchs
and if we decrease simulation distance we can decrease mob spawning so creeper explosion deaths will be so rare

Heir's another tip about villages:
You can go and steel their hey bales and turn them into wheat and sell them to farmers to get Emeralds (You can also clear their farms and sell the crops back to them) then use those Emeralds to level up the Armores and Weapon Smiths and buy Enchanted Diamond Gear without even going in a cave.

3:35 Honestly it’s not that bad. Just properly disable the skulk when you can, wait out the alarm level if it gets too high (takes 10 minutes for alarm level to decrease by 1 stage), and if you do encounter the warden, use the secret technique of SPRINT SNEAKING. If you start sprinting and then start sneaking, you’ll do BOTH at the same time. Then add jumping and you’ll be moving at a speed that’s even faster than walking! You can also do this before the warden wakes up as well, but if you do, make sure to jump, then sprint, then sneak before landing, so that you don’t trigger the skulk when you first start sprinting. I used these strategies to raid an ancient city (which has WAY more shriekers than normal deep dark) before even getting diamond gear.

Also make copy's of your hardcore world everyday so if u die in the noncopy you can go in the copy(I do this everyday I don't die tho)
