Here's a little personal safety tip which you may have covered or others may already know but I thought it was worth mentioning. When you decide you are done driving for the day, be sure to turn off your application before you get close to your house. Otherwise it may be possible for your last rider to track you in the Rider app and find out where you live. I recall reading about how a passenger showed up at a driver's house to retrieve his cell phone, which the driver didn't have, and I think this is how the passenger found out where the driver lived.

For drive trus or any stop that takes more than 5 mins (especially if the whole trip is 1-2 miles) I tell riders that this is transportation service and not a charter. Sitting and waiting is the opposite of what service is. It's not about who gets charged and who gets paid by the min.

Cancellation is till 5 minutes and with Lyft you have to try and call the person, first.

If you cancel on a rider for not showing up and you get another ping from that same rider, don't accept it because if you do, they will give you a one star out of spite.

Always better for new drivers to start during the day when it is light out. Don’t make those first few trips any harder than they need to be. Early mornings are far and away the best time to drive. The hardest part of driving at 4am is seeing the numbers on houses, zero stress.

I think uberxl drivers benefit the most from the major airports

You forgot to mention beer. People will try to get in your car with beer. Keep in mind you get pulled over you are getting the ticket! Same with child w/O car seats! On these riders wait five minutes and cancelled to get fee. Do not risk a ticket. Plus, uber and lyft clean up fee is a joke now! You have to go through hoops and turn in alot of paper work and you might get it or more likely not get it. Just call the cops if a pax tears up your car. It is illegal! Good luck!
