Cs player here, you’re doing it somewhat wrong. Here’s how CS:S and CS2 players do it:
1. Start off with W until you’re velocity cap for ground
2. Let go of W, press A or D and jump
3. Move your mouse in the direction you are going in
4. Alternate and repeat
Here’s why the holding W method is ineffective:
You have less control and have to make wider arcs to have less predictable movement
You have to make wider flicks if someone’s there
