Pure terror will teach you how to bunny hop in one frightening lesson. Riding down a rural road in Indiana, a grain truck left me no room to maneuver to avoid a dead possum on the edge of the tarmac. It was a case of swerve into the path of the truck, take a tumble into the weeds or jump my bike. I claim no points for style, but I cleared the possum and stayed upright. My comments regarding the driver of the truck are not fit to be printed!

Great bunny hoping, Dan. I rode bmx as teenager, when 80cm bunnyhop was not a problem for me. I am roadie now and I have to say road bikes have anti-bunnyhop geometry and also seat is high. If I do 5cm bunnyhop I am glad :D But its definitely worth learning.

Very good lesson. Tried from other videos, but this was by far the best

Great video. If you are using a gravel bike on single track terrain, a bunny hop will become very useful. The reason I clicked on this video.

It took me 50 years to learn to lift front wheel. Hopefully, I can learn to lift the back one in another 50 and another 50 to put it together.

Mastered bunny hops as a child on my Raleigh grifter and carried that over to mountain biking as a teen. Wasn’t as much fun on the road bike.. I really miss my right bollock.

All the GCN people should do a bike race against each other and do vids about their bikes like pro bikes in Tour de France !

I definitely prefer being on the hoods for hops, i find the tops too narrow for standing manoeuvres.
Also, as someone else mentioned, a vid on hopping up a curb at an angle seems like a good idea too.
