"Yo when you bug out, you usually have a reason for the action
Sometimes you don't it's just for mere satisfaction." - Phife Dawg, A Tribe Called Quest

Great information! I always think bugging out should be an absolute last resort. Gotta evaluate and see if it's right for you and your family before making the leap in the unpredictable world. Thank you!

Couple other things that are dirt cheap. I always keep 30 gal of diesel fuel on hand. I can Start any fire with wet wood with just a cup of it. That fuel burns real hot. The other thing i have i dont use. I live in a nice neighborhood. A steel burn barrel. With top. I keep my wifes garden dirt in it. I painted it a warm green and its on my back porch. When the time comes i will use it as a burn barrel. You will need one. Those solar panels are from harbor freight. Get them on sale. Are power goes out a lot here. Its so nice to turn on a few lights and run the TV. Makes a big difference.

really good stuff, very knowledgeable. I especially liked how you brought up the fact about individuals being off behavioral medications. That's very overlooked by many.

Great info! A thing about bugging out as well, is knowing the area you're bugging out to. You can't just say I'm going to this one cabin you've been to once and only know one way to get there. Gotta makes sure you know where everything is.

Great advice, this is why I like this channel. In most cases bugging in is the best scenario for survival. Bugging out always needs to be a back up plan in the situations that you have mentioned in the video. Allot of people get this confused with this pepper fantasy that they will just bug out whenever anything happens instead of using the available resources in their home first.

having a family can also determine whether or not to bug out. with a family you may want to bug in where you have stored food, water, beds, more supplies, tools, better hygiene, privacy, ect. As for someone like me a single man in an apartment bugging out is a lot more versatile, and simple. if worse comes to worse i can sleep under a bridge no big deal.

There is one group of Americans who almost certainly should bug out and do it early...the very elderly who live with relatives. These people often are able to survive only because of the conditions their relatives/caretakers provide for them. Almost all are disabled or handicapped...vision/hearing impairments, mobility limitations, complete reliance on medication for sustaining life. Those responsible for the very elderly should work out well in advance where they will go to ensure that life-sustaining conditions are provided and go as early as possible at the first realization that an emergency is coming. For many very elderly people, the very act of displacement, if arduous, will be life threatening.

And honestly, as long as you have a destination, who cares if you bug-out early? It becomes a vacation.

Work with relatives in other states, to ensure that you have places to go. The last thing any of us wants is to become a refugee. It isn't an oversight that the videos of Middle Eastern refugees never show elderly people. They didn't make it.

I like how in the intro he's bugging out with that gold chain flashin' around his neck. I'm sitting here thinking "He better tuck that junk under his shirt befoe Deebo see it!"

Destination isn't about having a destination. It has to do with whether or not your destination is a better choice than where you currently are. If your destination has some resources but no shelter, you would weigh the shelter you have where you are vs what resources (minus the shelter) there are at your destination. For example: Your house where you are now has shelter to protect you from the elements but no running water. Your bug-out destination has no shelter but does have a running stream that would provide you with the water you lack where you currently are. You need to decide which is the better option, staying where you are or heading out for your destination.

Thanks Scout... for taking this time with all viewers. You must realize that you are leaving many somewhat dis-jointed, though. Some of us know the steps to take from here... others are going to be thirsty. Thank you for your concerns for all. Love the DVDs.

A great concept video thank you. A lone young male as your video portrayed is easy and also the most likely to receive hostile interdiction because the are TROUBLE. All adults should know the local environment hazards (wild fires / floods / earth quakes / huge snow falls / land slides / tornadoes / hurricanes / volcanic activity) and already have a seasonal plan for safe refuge. Social collapse is a different ball game - loners loose. It takes a group of about 20 families united in mutual self-defense to bug-in. The planning period for return to normalization is 4-6 weeks for a major environmental event and 3-4 weeks for localized social collapse. Widespread social and economic collapse is 40-100+ weeks. A bug-out plan is complex, mine took 3 months to write. I have three separate rural routes with lateral link routes. I have a Google maps screen-shot of every intersection, river bridge, rail crossing, highway interchange, halt site and small town on our route. I have vehicle recovery and medical support plans. I was a tank commander in the military, so every occupant in our bug-out vehicle has assigned duties (Commander / Driver / Gunner-Security / Communications. Every body has assigned arcs of observation responsibility. All short and long halts have planned security drills. We will ground-truth our plan as a short weekend holiday as a 'test and adjust". In this way if the bug-out happens we will all be confident and able to make it work. This is not hard. Turn off the mind-control TV and think for yourself. Will you also have a pet / infant /elder with you? It is possible to live in Florida (or anywhere else in the world) and using the Internet plan a very detailed bug-out from SE to North Central Wisconsin as I did. Understand the County system, the local laws and EMS location / response / interdiction capability. You must have a planned destination and pre-positioned resources there to sustain you for the total time of occupation. You must have the social and practical skill sets to make you welcome in your bug-out location. What is your daily water consumption per person (about 20 liters per person, per day = 1 x jerry can): for a family of 4 with a dog / or elder is 3000 liters (kg) per month. You need a plan. Camp FEMA will be a disarmed and law-less prison camp. Frankly a bug out bag without bug out plan is just heavy bling. Thanks and best wishes to you all, Greg

the first time I've ever had to bug out was when I left Sacramento for a day or two because of the Oroville Dam incident from last February.
