Areca is one plant everyone has these days in different sizes. But sometimes it's care becomes a problem. Here are some tips on hot to care and save it from dying.

My areca plant kept getting brown leaves and I keep cutting them but they keep happening and one of the stems even got brown completely and I had to remove it! So according to this video, I was watering too little D: I was watering once every 1-2 weeks! So now I’m going to water every 3-4 days and hopefully that makes my areca happier and fuller!!

Thank God that i'm blessed with pretty healthy arecas...they are in huge pots, got them when they were very small...they are as tall as 6 ft now...😅

you are right....my wife is big fan of these Palm but over the years I have seen big problems....they don't survive indoor for us!!! They look beautiful when you bring them home and after few weeks you can see leafs starts turning yellowish and then dry. We have 3 right now in horrible shape..almost dead. I noticed potting mix/soil that we used turned into like a stone (on the top surface) can't imagine what is going on underneath...we live in cold climate but the plants are always inside in weather that can range from 19 deg to 24 deg temperature. What type of potting mix should be used for these plants and how do you prepare the pot? Do you think I can do something so they can survive at least for a year? Thank you

My arecas are growing wild in my backyard, they're about 25 to 30 feet tall, I live in South Florida, Milargonite every six months and palm fertilizer keeps them lush and green in direct sun. I've had them over 20 years already, were planted three feet apart, watered daily the first three months. Now they rely on our rain cycle for water. I only water after fertilizer, sometimes I forget. I've got a total of 50 plants, all original none had to be replaced. Arecas in pots tend to be finicky.

Found this video on the right time.. now i understood that I am watering it everyday which lead to rotting of the leaf bases coming from stem. Now i know what to do.. i will save this plant at any cost

I have this variegated fiscus starlight. When I bought it had 5 to 6 branches full of leaves. Now only one branch has leaves nd rest of the branches are empty. Pls advise on how can I make it bushy? And what should I do with those empty branches? Will leaves grow again on that?

1. Once the areca palms' leaves start turning yellow, is there any way back we can make them turn green again?
Do we need to cut the yellow/ brown leaves/ stems in time or leave them with the tree as they are?
