My father had that exact car in 72. He still misses that car. He bought it after his 69 firebird blew the engine.

Obviously not the Olds pictured, but the mid-1950s Oldsmobiles had arguably the most beautiful dashboards I have ever seen- with all the polished chrome and bright work.

Had a 74 cutlass. 350 rocket. Loved that car. Gave $1400 for it used in 1980.

No one really ever talks about the Oldsmobile tornado but I think they look just as cool as the others

A incredibly beautiful looking car.
Back when they actually took time to make the cars look classy.
Now you can barely tell one car from the other.

Bought a new 442 in 1968, best car I ever had to this day, and no one every beat this car in the quarter mile in it's class. Beautiful and dependable auto!

My grandfather was the "Oldsmobile man." He went up the GM line, although he skipped Chevy. He bought a '67 Pontiac Catalina brand new, with the 389 4bbl. My father remembers him doing donuts in the parking lot with it. He traded up to a new '70 Cadillac Sedan Deville, than later bought a '72 Olds Cutlass Supreme, this time in addition to the Caddy, to be his daily driver, as he wanted something that had more sporty handling. The Cutlass was green with a black vinyl top and black bucket interior. 350 rocket under the hood. From then on he bought Oldsmobiles, 98's and such. But All three were awesome cars, Nowadays I'd most like to have the Pontiac.

GOD I LOVE HOW EACH MANUFACTURER MADE THEIR OWN ENGINES AND REALLY TRIED HARD TO HIDE ANY SHARING OF PARTS OR CHASSIS !!

I have never forgotten Oldsmobile. It is my favorite GM brand. I saw this beauty and the first thing I wanted to do was to own it. Also noticed the much later same model of car sitting next to its left side. It is beige. It also has a Caddy parked next to it on the pass. side.

I miss the cars of yester-year. They had personality, solid metal, chrome where it mattered, and really comfortable seats in some models...I wish there was more distinction between the models and brands of cars today

And, they're tough as nails, simple to repair. Let's not allow these to rot away!

I drive my oldie every summer, she's put away for winter. It's a 1985 Oldsmobile wagon w/ 305 small block~ nothing to brag about, but also nothing to bat an eye at. That Olive army green exterior with tan interior, swing out rear hatch door and that 2-person bench seat faced out the back window..
And I love it to bits
