Setting out to create a versatile snare that can grow with a drummer's needs, renowned instructor Mike Johnston reached out to Gretsch Drums to create the ultimate "first pro-level snare" for his students.

The Gretsch Drums Brooklyn Standard Snare's 6-ply maple/poplar shells feature double-cut 45° bearing edges and an extra-wide snare bed for the 42-count snare wire, adding a sensitivity and behavior characteristic of metal drums. Vintage-style 302 double-flanged hoops and tube lugs bring out the warmth of the wood, and the internal muffler lets you dial-in just the right amount of dampening.

This snare is incredible and a home run. It kind of sounds a little bland but it’s so musical and clever. Best played at a lower volume if that’s your cup of tea.

I know it's not a guitar video but what's a good budget guitar amp under 400

For the price, I’d rather get the Gretsch Bronze snare..
It’s one of the best drums around today.
