Trying out my new Gretsch Brooklyn standard snare! iPhone quality as always :-)

Trying out my new Snare! A Gretsch Brooklyn standard snare! Didn’t know much about this snare but found it in a music store in Linköping and fell in love with it.

Now afterwords I realized it’s Mike Johnstons snare that he developed with Gretsch and I've looked at videos about it and it’s really great. Can’t wait to try it out with bands, in studios and live!

Here I tuned it somewhere between mid and high and the wire is a bit loose to get a bit of razzel after the strokes. So much more to explore with this snare and it seems you can get soooo many sounds from it. I might demo it more If people wants it and show all the finesse you can get out of it.
