Turning Wood into a BLUE-Tiful Resin Mirror

In this week’s video, I’m stepping away from my lathe to create a unique hybrid epoxy resin wall mirror using kiln-dried olive wood cookies. Instead of a traditional woodturning project, I used deep pour epoxy resin combined with a touch of light blue mica pigment to cast the wood. After letting it cure for a week, I flattened the piece and used my CNC machine to precisely cut the recess for the mirror. I’m excited to share more woodworking projects like this alongside my usual woodturning content!

too much mirror not enough of the beautiful piece. It seems a shame that you covered over even a square inch of this. Even the the tab for hanging it up seemed like too much. It should be reversible so you only use it as a mirror when strictly necessary.
