Brilliantly explained. People need to think and read beyond the "standard textbook"

I half suspect the value of care work will only be assessed fairly when women doesn't care.

Care work can be perfectly explained within the confines of standard microeconomic theory. According to the subjective theory of value ( Which is a core idea in the microeconomics we learn in textbooks) customers are willing to pay for things if they demand it. Customers of the care are essentially the female's children and the household. Therefore, the customers are the children and the husband. I do not dispute that woman does not create value, I just say that the idea that they should be compensated monetarily is the type of out of reality economics this video blames. The standard unit in economics is the household, generally speaking. The female by doing care work creates value inside the household and therefore is not compensated from outside the household. If the male has a job, he creates value outside the household and can bring home money. Carework (Either done by males of females) should therefore not be compensated from outside the household as no one gained anything from it outside the household
