Everything about this video is just chef's kiss. His relationship with his dad brought a tear to my eye. Lovely. Respect.

A lot of other muscle cars get the talk but I’ve always thought the Olds 1970 442 W30 with fiberglass hood and wheel wells was the most badazz of them all.

What a great story of family tradition with one of the finest supercars of the muscle era! What a beautiful Olds, and it's built right, all the good parts!

I so love the 442's. I had one when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter. She is now in her 40's.

Fun stuff. My first car was a 1970 Cutlass S I bought through my father who was a mechanic. He performed all the routine maintenance on it since new. I got it in 1978 mint for $300 when I was 15. Unfortunately I rolled it. I remember when I was a kid we lived not far from the Hurst factory in Warminster, PA. My Pop did the yearly inspection for their collection of Hurst Oldmobiles. I remember there was a half dozen of them sitting in front of the shop. Started out as an Esso but I think it was Exxon by then ...That was so cool. Love those cars like no other. This is a great video. Great car, great story :-) Thanks guys!

I had a 70 442 W-30 4spd with the same color combination as this beauty. I really miss that car. It was so special, fiberglass hood, red front wheel wells and of course the 455 beast. Basically a factory drag car. I appreciate cars like this and the people who keep them doing what these cars were built for.

I had my 71 442 right around the time your dad bought that car mine was gold with black stripes I bought it in the beginning of 1982 I got busted twice in the same night I got brought to Jil with 11 tickets and they impounded my car my dad came and got me out of jail and my car out the impound and before he got home I was back in jail with 17 more tickets you have been to da pad in New Orleans east this before that was the race spot it was only about 6 miles away from there were I got busted racing this guy with a 66 big block chevelle. I totaled my cutless in 1984 going to the world's fair with my girl friend. I miss that car it was as nice as your dads.
