At least in ASME, the envelope principle doesn't say that the size and position are somehow connected into one requirement. It is true that when MMC is applied it is possible to make a functional gage that will check that the "virtual condition" of both size and position is not violated, but there needs to be a separate size inspection anyway. The envelope principle or "Rule #1" in ASME Y14.5 links the size with the form deviations, but not with location or orientation.

Sorry, by using the modificator „envelope“ ISO GPS can be adjusted according ASME default; this isn’t a big thing, is it? And ASME offers the modifactor „I“.

ASME cann‘t be adjusted to ISO GPS, because reziprocity is there missing. Reziprocity is missing in this shown examples!

And: The big difference of ASME and ISO GPS cann‘t be matched by using any modifier: The rules for the simulation (association) of a planar touch are different! No modificators are available.
