Couple of items worth a mention. The emergency door release in the rear door bins underneath the rubber strip, worth becoming familiar with those. Additionally handy to get grills for the vents underneath the seats to stop things rolling into them from the rear floor (rattling like crazy) and becoming very expensive to recover. Beautiful car.

I stopped at sensors have just discovered that I can now see the lines on the parking area, which is that is drive into or backing into the park.

The door closing sound is definitely something that auto journalists care more about than everyone else.

Never liked electric cars. Was always against them for various reasons. Then I drove a Tesla now I own one. If you don’t like them it’s because you’ve never driven one. Drive a Tesla. You’ll fall in ❤

Great review Tom, lots of detail & information for would be & even new Y buyers 👌
If I would add one thing, it would’ve been the safety aspect of owning a Y & how it rates etc- seriously important factor for someone buying a car like this often to put their family in & the Y is world class # 1 . Once we get FSD in AU it will be a game changer & make it even safer. The autopilot even on my older S without vision is fantastic, probably use it 70-80% of my driving.
Have passed a link of this video onto family members looking to buy their first EV- Y
Very informative without the sales blurb, can tell it’s done by someone who knows Teslas.
Invaluable for those not yet within the Tesla ecosphere.
Thanks & keep up the great work 🙏

It’s near end of November 24, really hard holding back for Juniper, very tempted to buy current model. Some good deals but also enticed by accessories.

Great information vid.
Thank you.

It may have been covered, but does this version have any changes to the suspension, windows or sound system like the Chinese or EU versions? I know it doesn't have any different battery, motor, ambient lighting etc, but those other things I'm not sure.

Hey Tom great Video. We’ve put an order for L/R model Y but Tesla Sydney don’t have any in stock for this year. I suspect we’re possibly looking at the New L/R model Y. What’s your view will the new model Y be shipped in January?

stopped at 29:02 I am missing something about the wipers. How do I access them and control? the auto wipers give me the shits. start with no reason.

Booked in on Monday 20th May to test drive the Model Y. Still not sold on the ‘minimalist approach’ but agree that Tesla has the best infrastructure and electronics. I will be driving from Lithgow to Parramatta to do the test drive.

Another great video Tom. We (Tesla Y owners) still dont have a light at the charge port. I'd still want smoother/softer suspension on sydney's roads. and make the boot 1-2 inches deeper. cant fit long/large suitcases in length wise with rear seats up! how did they not measure. Bring the radar back - Phantom breaking in all the new tunnels in sydney is horrendous.

Thanks for the steering wheel closeup. Never knew if right-hand drive cars had the gear selector on the left or right side of the wheel. I do love my '24 Model Y dual motor.

Very detailed video Tom, I would like to have a Y for the extra storage, but I still prefer the driving experience of the 3.

G'day, I see you have a number of links for accessories. Your videos are great and I was particularly interested in the Roof heat vs Seal video.

Having a bald head it initially has turned me off a Tesla, but you mentioned roof shades with silver in them? Could you link me to an example / your preferred option in this regard?

Great informative video, I was wondering do we really need PPF and tint windows at front as I’m in the process of getting a delivery of MY RWD 2024 in late June.
