The cutscene was a reference to the original Dracula movie from the 1930s, it's implied the vilebloods are the equivalent of Vampires, it was unnecessary, but it was cool

For anyone watching this recently, instead of going all the way back to get to the lantern you can just go through the door in the room, that you picked the summons up in, to get to the same area.

A tip: once you get the summons theres a door in the clinic you can open as a shortcut from the first lamp to the inside or the clinic
