I love this version of this song so much. Bo Burnahm's version sounds like the voice and feeling of depression luring you into feeling ok with feeling awful; sitting in the dark, not showering, not eating, feeling afraid. It's such a beautifully powerful representation of the siren song of misery.
LittleV's version is the opposite side of the same feeling. It's the moment where you feel strong enough just to open the curtains. Just to bathe. Just to eat more than shitty instant food. And when that inner siren misery song tries to lure you back down, you say "So What?". The delivery of "You say the ocean's rising, like I give a shit, you say the whole world's ending, honey it already did" part is a different kind of impactful in this cover. This is the song I listen to when that inner voice wants to drown me.

Little V, Ive been listening to you since Maximillian recommended you, and ive scrolled through just about every rock cover you’ve out out. And almost every time im BOPPIN. Puttin it in my gym playlist, wakin me up driving for a graveyard shift etc etc.

But this one hit me at a time where my life was hitting a big turning point. Its felt like a lot of my latest months and years have been my mental health being thrown in Survivial mode, a lot of anxiety, self induced stress and depression. But being part of a more repressed family, telling myself to bottle it up and toughen up, even when I could see them all breaking slowly on the inside, I just played the “role”, joking about my life and the abuse it took on me to suppress the actual pain.

But it wasnt until a few weeks ago, the facade with my family finally broke and in a flash, parents were split up, relationship with my own wife was straining, sister added fuel to the fire, had to find a new place to live. Move in within a day, car broke down, all while still working the graveyard shift, everything started crumbling fast.

I made it out so far. Smoke is starting to settle and my life is finally reaching back to recovery. But it wasnt until I listened to your cover of this song, where everything hit me and I just let go of it all, and let it all out.

Just wanted to share that to let you know your music really helped me release all of that emotion, and has impacted my life in a really big way.

If you ever see this, Im sure I speak for a lot of us when I say Thank You for all you do. Keep doing what youre doing
