CJI On Kolkata Case: During the ongoing suo moto hearing into the alleged rape and murder of a resident doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata, a counsel attempted to interject, prompting Chief Justice DY Chandrachud to issue a stern warning. “Look, I am sorry, you please listen to me, otherwise I will have you removed from the court,” the CJI stated. CJI Chandrachud clarified that the Supreme Court cannot demand the resignation of the Chief Minister, emphasizing that such actions fall outside the court's jurisdiction.

the CJI is putting on an aggressive front to convince the population after the ganesh pooja incident that he is impartial. His anti govt rulings are on inconsequential matters such as sacking an elected government which they as a court have no right to.
