So, the reason why I don't use Transmogrifying Wand is the last sentence, there is no comparison with a one mana instant. I prefer my interaction to be at instant speed. It sounds really good in a deck like Gerrard's and Osgir's, though.

Possible other honorable mentions: Lux Cannon, Contagion Engine, Grim Poppet, Sword of Fire and Ice, walking Ballista, Engineered Explosives, and Ratchet Bomb. A lot of these work best in a proliferate deck

Wanna put in my 2 favorites onto this list.

Brittle Effigy, 1 mana artifact, tap 4, tap it, exile it, exile target creature. Great threat you can hold onto if you need it if you want to play it early, and 5 mana to exile a creature isn't that awful of a rate in decks who can't deal with creatures or Indestructible well. Great little card and is like 30 cents, so super good budget option.

Bladegriff Prototype, 5 mana flying 3/2 Griffin, when it deals combat damage the player you damaged destroys a nonland permanant one of your opponents controls. Great politics tool, can let you get some damage onto someone so that they can blow up a different threat. Requires you do some politics stuff, but it can never really hurt YOU since it's only cards YOUR opponents control. So they have to hit something you don't own. Another super budget option at like 14 cents.

Worldslayer is my go to. If equip it on a indestructible creature worldslayer you wins the game pretty much.

My Tawnos likes Transmogryifing Wand, especially in his Wands-Tribal Deck :P

Transmogrifying wand is underrated! It's good. I use it in my mono blue Kraken/Leviathan deck that also bounces enemy creatures a lot, so then you don't care if you give them a 2/4 ox even more.

Oblivion Stone is an excellent card. Was a staple in monowhite control for years. Probably going to put it in my Lyra deck.

I play Ugin since years in my mono-black deck. It’s unfortunate the card gets so hated.
Also imo Ugin the Ineffable should be in your list, especially great in black or red decks.
