I mean nettlecyst is serious competition, the tempered steel deck runs all that glitters as well, dumping that for nettle cyst significantly powers it up as does thought monitor. We have basically every good 0-1 drop artifact creature.

Faceless to note also good in low creature decks ie niv control, it is just a 2/1 that grabs niv.

Slivers also got ziggaraut which is another rainbow land but only for creatures.

I have a feeling that Faceless Agent just won’t see any play in creature decks. Paying three mana for an affect that isn’t pushing the board state forward (like a lord) or is good by itself (like a not 2/1 creature) seems just… better? Like why would I ever play this over Bugler, or Matron, or the one shapeshifter that lets you cast things off the top?

I don’t think that Faceless Agent is something that tribal decks want. It does not do anything other than draw a card for 3 mana and in a format like historic that is not good.
